CMV Signature

After six years operating ocean-going cruises all over the world, UK-based Cruise and Maritime Voyages launched its first river itineraries in 2014. Following its first successful season, the company is now offering 18 cruises on the majestic Rhine, Danube, Rhone and Saone rivers in Europe, in association with its German partner company TransOcean Kreuzfahrten. CMV Signature aims to provide the same intimate feel on the rivers of Europe as it provides on its ocean cruises, with an emphasis on attentive service, contemporary surroundings and excellent food.

CMV Signature has a fleet of three sister ships, each with 4 passenger decks. The Bellefleur has a capacity of 150 passengers and sails on the Rhone and Saone in France. The Bellejour can host 180 and takes her guests on adventures on the Rhine and Moselle. The Belvedere takes 176 holidaymakers on journeys through historic Europe’s heartland on the majestic Danube. Interiors onboard all three ships are modern with plenty of deck space and public areas for passengers to relax, socialise and watch the world go by.

Just like their ocean-going customers, who come back for the ships’ home from home comfort and intimate feel, most of CMV Signature’s passengers are expected to be mature British couples, singles and friends.

CMV Signature passengers can expect a fantastic selection of meals, from full English breakfasts to multi-course dinners, with the added bonus of afternoon teas and late night snacks. Tea and coffee are available from 6am until 10pm.

On cruises of 5 nights or more you can mingle with your fellow guests at the Captain’s Cocktail Party. There are also shows ranging from cabaret to classical.

Activities are arranged for throughout the day. On cruises of 5 nights or longer you can try your hand at arts and crafts, and listen to a guest speaker. Bellefleur has a fitness room with a jacuzzi.

A phone, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning and desk come as standard in cabins across the fleet. Each cabin also features modern design, satellite TV and river views. Bellejour has eight cabin categories, while Belvedere has nine. Bellefleur has ten options of cabins, which are priced according to their size and deck.

Belvedere’s Majestic Danube itinerary departs from Passau in Germany and glides through breathtaking scenery in Austria and Slovakia over 7 nights, before reaching its final destination of Budapest in Hungary. The Danube Experience to the Delta reaches the gateway to the Black Sea over 15 nights. On the Bellejour you can opt for the 7-night Magical Rhine North or Magical Rhine South cruises. There’s also the Rhine & Moselle experience that allows you to explore both these beautiful German rivers over 7 nights. The Bellefleur’s French adventures take her on two 7-night itineraries, both departing from the French foodie paradise, Lyon. All CMV Signature cruises visit a different location each day, providing plenty of opportunity to sightsee, shop and discover new places from the comfort of your floating hotel.
