If you have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19 symptoms or has been self-isolating in the days prior to your voyage you will not be permitted to board the ship. A 'contact' is a person who has been close to someone who tested positive to Covid-19 any time from 2 days before the person was symptomatic up to 10 days from the onset of symptoms.

Will Covid-19 test be required?
Covid-19 tests may be required and will be complimentary in the price of the holiday if so.

Group numbers will be in line with government guidance at the time of booking. Current guidance allows households/linked travelling groups to dine together, up to the maximum number allowed by the government at the time of travel.
What will the onboard experience be like?
Activities/areas of the ship where social distancing would be difficult may not be open when sailing begins. When it comes to dining, buffets will no longer be self-service and you may have to pre-book a table in restaurants. The pools will be open with reduced capacity. Live performances will be adapted so that performers can social distance. It is also expected that events will be staggered and have reduced capacity.

Cunard Covid-19 safety measures
-
Before Cruising
Cunard's pre-cruise measures include a health declaration form, as well as requiring guests to return a negative Covid-19 test. At the embarkation terminal guests must adhere to social distancing rules and wear a facemask, as well as have their temperature taken and any other medical screening deemed necessary. Crew will also be required to undergo health screening before and during each cruise.
-
Onboard
Onboard each ship, all areas including the spa, salon and pools will be open, and restaurants will be adapted including no self-service buffets, pre-booked tables and dining only in the group you're travelling with. While social distancing must be observed, guests can also link their bookings with friends and family onboard to form a group up to the maximum number allowed by the UK government at the time of departure.
-
Cleaning
While Cunard already have extremely high cleanliness standards onboard their ships, these have been increased, using products which fight Covid-19, both in public spaces and in staterooms and suites. Guests will also be encouraged to frequently wash their hands using the hand sanitizer found across each ship.
