Our cruise was enjoyable, all be it the day entertainment was a little repetitive at times. But over all we had a very lovely time and will to cruise again shortly.
Great itinerary, lovely staff. I was personally a little disappointed with the food on offer.
An enjoyable holiday with exceptional good weather for the time of year allowing us to take full advantage of the balcony. The crew were friendly and in most areas efficient. Because the ship was repositioning the itinerary was varied and interesting as we moved from Dubrovnik to Malaga. The daily menu in the main restaurant did not appeal to our taste but other speciality venues were very good, we opted to dine late on most occasions and found that the service was slow. We did not visit the theatre but the reviews from fellow passengers were favourable. The Squid and Anchor (Cabaret Lounge) provided most of our entertainment together with the '19th Hole' bar and golfing simulators. We choose to explore the places we visited by making our own arrangements as the excursion costs from the ship are often excessive for what you receive. However, I would have no reservations recommending this ship and its cheerful, happy crew to anyone venturing on a cruise holiday for the first time.
Excellent cruise itinerary and all staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and cleaned thoroughly. I requested a little more coffee and milk and it was delivered promptly and also was helped to use the safe. Jins, jake and Anfelie were all a credit to Marella.
Wonderful holiday on the Explorer. Can't recommend enough. House keeping on Deck 9 - cabin 9031 and 9027 were excellent, happy, polite and always there if you needed anything.

Great ship and cabin was spacious and of a high standard. Staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. Dining and bars were excellent.
Outstanding cruise in every way.
All the crew were amazing - we felt really well looked after. We were impressed with how clean the ship was kept and the friendliness of all the staff. Their attention to detail was also fantastic in looking after my wife's diabetic meal requirements.
A wonderful experience for my first cruise and one that I will repeat in future years. The excursions were first rate apart from one which sadly didn't deliver on what was on the itinerary. But on the whole one bad day against the rest didn't deflect on the whole experience as it was our Honeymoon we were celebrating.
