P&O Cruises Covid-19 safety measures

Before Cruising

To be allowed to board the ship, guests must have tested negative to Covid-19 and have completed a health declaration which will be reviewed at embarkation. At the cruise terminal guests must wear face masks, adhere to social distancing rules and have their temperature taken. With crew safety also a priority, staff must comply with the onboard guidance and undergo Covid-19 tests. They will also be highly trained in the cruise line’s procedures.
Onboard

Social distancing will be maintained through adapted dining, entertainment and recreation facilities, including pre booking for activities and dining, as well as no more self-service buffets. Guests will be able to link their bookings with others onboard to form a travelling group, but only to a maximum size in line with UK government regulations at the time of sailing.
Cleaning

P&O Cruises’ high standards of onboard cleaning will be further enhanced, using high-quality products with a proven effectiveness against Covid-19. These measures will extend to accomodation, while hand sanitiser and washing stations will be conveniently located across the ship for guests to use.
Ashore

To ensure that guests can safely enjoy time ashore, only shore excursions organised by P&O Cruises will be available. This is to make sure that local guidance and onboard protocols are followed. Temperature checks may also be required before returning to the ship.
Medical

Guests who need supplementary oxygen, mechanical ventilation support apart from overnight CPAP for sleep apnoea, or dialysis will sadly not be able to sail with P&O Cruises. If a guest has COVID-19 symptoms (suspected or confirmed), has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 symptoms (suspected or confirmed), or is required by Track and Trace to isolate within 14 days of embarkation, they will not be able to cruise.
Post-Cruise

Guests must complete a guest locator form at the end of the cruise. This enables guests to be contacted in line with the government track and trace initiative once their holiday has come to an end.
