A v dated, cramped cabin and bathroom. A small and limited ship with no wow factor at all. Inadequate seating outside and boring, repetitive lunches in the tiny buffet. We tried to eat in the dining room as much as possible. There's a limited future market for this ship but the itinerary and Harwich departure were the big thing for us. The passengers were pleasant, mainly in their 50-70s. V little variety of lounge evening entertainment though the shows were good. The Magellan is so much better.
Embarking & disembarking went very smoothly. Cabin satisfactory. Staff were polite friendly& helpful. The entertainment was excellent. The excursions suited our needs. Altogether a pleasant voyage.
Modest ship, full of interesting people. Good itinerary, at a fair price - very enjoyable. Found the lectures to be poor, but the entertainment was good. New coffee machines and lifts would be positive steps forward. Couldn't fault the service and the food was varied and generally good.
I have had 2 cruises on Magellan and the last one on Marc Polo. Both are nice small ships which i like. I did not like the cabin on Maro Polo , for a couple it was far too small, we could hardly turn around . Food was ok and entertainment good . Excellent handling of off ship excursions . I always seek ships sailing from northern ports as I don't wish to travel to the south.
