Ms Kong Harald boasts two hot tubs to relax in and by to take in the wonderful scenery and atmosphere.
All meals are served in the large Martha-Salen Restaurant, which seats up to 240 passengers and boasts floor-to-ceiling windows allowing you to enjoy the view. Food is prepared fresh each day and includes a range of regional dishes. For light meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks, the Roald Amundsen Café is open day and night.
A cruise on MS Kong Harald is all about enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Norwegian coast and the many different options for trips ashore. After the sun goes down, conversation turns to the day’s sightings of the ever-changing Norwegian landscape passing by or perhaps even a glimpse of a whale.
Live music is performed nightly in the Fridtjof Nansen Bar, the perfect spot for relaxing after dinner. Enjoy a glass of wine in the Observation Lounge while watching the sun set, or take a nightcap up onto the sun deck for a little stargazing.
This was a specialised cruise with the intention of seeing the Northern Lights. The ships are working ships so are not super luxurious, hence the cabin was good but not excellent.It served our purpose and we have no complaints.Service at all times was superb, they could not do enough for us.The dining equally so especially the fine dining in the evening, helps if you like fish it figures high on the menu and there is lots of it in the buffet meals. Entertainment is pretty non existent although they have lots of relevant talks. Good range of activities to suit all abilities, tied in with excursions. Value for money for the trip as a whole was good but the excursions are extremely expensive. Overall a great experience and the Northern Lights were fantastic.
