The 1896 Cabin

If you’re looking to enjoy a truly unique onboard experience while cruising with HX Expedition’s MS Fridtjof Nansen, the spectacular 1896 Cabin is the perfect addition to your incredible adventure. Inviting you to step back in time and fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a late-19th-century explorer’s cabin, this faithfully recreated accommodation boasts vintage furnishings and timely decor, alongside a stocked bar hidden in an aged barrel and a custom scent pod, which gently adds the scent of salty air and aged wood to the room, further immersing you. The 1896 Cabin is currently available to book at a rate of €100 per night per person, with bookings for up to three guests available due to the room's three berths. While you can only book this for one night at a time, staying in this remarkable room promises to be an unforgettable experience. For those hoping to look around but not book, The 1896 Cabin will be open on embarkation day with a historian, giving you a fantastic chance to explore the cabin and learn more about the history that inspires this unique accommodation.
