Beautiful ship, beautiful cruise
We found the ship too large and were exhausted just walking around for dining and entertainment. Seating would be useful in the lift areas as there were many people with disabilities having to wait for lifts. Despite the notices re holding sunbeds many were not used and nobody removed towels. Our cabin steward was very friendly as were all the staff. The head waiters were very helpful for me as I have allergy problems. The entertainment was not as high quality as expected and some were inappropriate considering that there were children in the audience. . The islands that we visited were very nice and we enjoyed our cruise despite my comments.
Ship was fine, Caribbean was enjoyable but P&O impose excessive surcharges on everything, do not have "all inclusive" charge excessive prices for drinks and even charge for the drinking water in the fridge. They appear only to be interested in passengers that are members of their loyalty scheme and travel regularly with them. Good holiday but very disappointed in P&O. They are no better than any other cruise line but charge a lot more
Planet Cruise your customer service is dreadful - hours on hold waiting to speak to an advisor and no response to e mails.
I had a lovely time onboard the Britannia, it was lovely being the first on after a refit. I was not overly impressed with my cabin, the carpet in G419 was heavily stained and the room had a musty smell to it. There was red spot marks on my sheets and water was not replaced daily in room. The cruise itself was lovely with the sail away party, food was to a good standard, service was ok with drinks but you often got forgotten if you asked them to come back in 10 minutes. The jacuzzis were not always open which was disappointing and the pools closed very early. Other lines have them open until at least 10pm. The staff in the Horizon were my favourite as they were so welcoming compared to those in the Oriental. Saying that I would go back as the cost outweighed most of the disappointment. I booked my own excursion through viator and it was all very smooth. Bruges is lovely, highly recommend going to anyone!
I feel the ship was too big, not enough staff in the busy places and not enough lifts to accommodate all the customers on board.
Went on this cruise to celebrate my 60th birthday with 7 G/F. We had a great time. We all really enjoyed it: great service, food was great, entertainment was good and I hadn't been on the Britannia before but will certainly book again.
Absolutely loved our two night cruise to Bruges with P and O.
This was the first cruise with my husband and he was impressed with everything. It was a bit daunting at first the amount of people all in one space which was made more apparent at the first dining experience on the first evening. We had booked a table as advised but when we went down for dinner everyone was waiting outside because the first sitting was not finished due to running late because of the emergency drill earlier that afternoon. it was very very crowded in the small entrance area and then when the first sitting was coming out, then next lot tried to get in and it was a case of hold on to your hats!
