Spirit of Adventure

As with the rest of the ships in the Saga Cruises fleet, Spirit of Adventure offers a superb quality of service, amenities, and atmosphere onboard, with memorable itineraries sailing from as close by as Newcastle and Southampton. Luxury is exuded across all ten passenger decks, from the exquisite fine dining opportunities, to the 554 all-balcony cabins. The ship can accommodate up to 999 passengers, and the impressive number of single cabins- 100!- allows for a wide range of people onboard - couples, groups, and solo travellers will all love each and every moment at sea.

Dining with Saga Cruises is a fabulous affair. Those looking for an experience akin to those of the ‘Golden Years’ of cruising will relish in the plentiful chances to don their finest attire and sit down to a memorable evening of elegant food, fine wines, and good company. Restaurants onboard Spirit of Adventure include:

  • The Dining Room- this main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all of which are of an exemplary standard. Waiter service here is second to none, and the splendid afternoon tea is a must at least once during your cruise.
  • The Grill- a wonderful option for warm weather, this alternative, slightly less formal venue offers indoor and outdoor seating. Choose this restaurant if you’re looking to relax in the late evening sun, while enjoying a delectable wine and freshly prepared meal.
  • Amalfi- guests who love hearty Italian food will no doubt want to sample several dishes at this comfortable and welcoming restaurant. Find your favourite fresh pizzas, pastas, meat and fish dishes, and of course a range of perfectly paired wines.
  • Khukuri- for something a little different, head here for a night of delicious Nepalese cuisine and excellent hospitality. Why not be brave and try something you’ve never heard of before? Be that delicious momos (dumplings), a spicy fragrant curry, or something else entirely.

There are several venues to choose from when it comes to deciding how to spend your evenings onboard Spirit of Adventure. If you’re simply looking to meet fellow cruisers and swap stories over a drink, head to The Supper Club, The Observation Deck, The Living Room, or the ship’s main social hub, the North Cape Bar. All of these offer comfortable seating, fantastic views and the perfect atmosphere for enjoying life at sea.

Alternatively, if you'd like to grab a seat and behold some spectacular live entertainment the Britannia Lounge and the Playhouse theatre will be sure to delight.

Cruisers onboard Spirit of Adventure who wish to keep on top of their health and fitness during their holiday will appreciate the facilities available including the gym, the pools and even the outdoor space for a sports court and deck games.

Alternatively, for a little pampering, the Spa onboard has a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, and an array of spa treatments waiting to be booked. What's more, the Salon is also available should you be looking for a new style to head home with after your break.

When you're not onshore and you find yourself with time to spare at sea, there's plenty to keep you busy onboard this unforgettable ship. Make the most of the fresh air and sweeping views by enjoying a stroll along the wrap-around promenade, lounging on the terrace or by the outdoor pool, while those looking for some peace, quiet and relaxation can visit the Library which offers a café, crafts and cards areas. Before you leave, be sure to head to the onboard shop where you'll find momentos to remind you of your time at sea.
