NCL Cruise Highlights

Swimming Pools

With quiet adults’ pools and shallow kids’ pools along with plenty of fountains, water cannons and slides to play on, the water parks onboard NCL ships are a real highlight. As well as a variety of pools, such as hot tubs and plunge pools, the variety of slides really make a splash with all the family, from the sudden drop Free Fall and Whip slides sweeping out over the side of the ship, to the Epic Plunge that really gets you in a whirl.

Family Fun

On Norwegian Joy and Bliss, all the gang can go for a spin on the go kart track on the top deck. On these two NCL ships, you will also find laser tag on Norwegian Escape, Breakaway, Getaway and Epic while all four except Epic also boast rope courses complete with walk the plank feature and zip lines. Adults Areas

Spice H20 is an open-air lounge by day, with hot tubs and water features, while by night the area transforms into a beach party with a grand finale of fireworks. Norwegian Bliss- built in 2018, this addition to the Breakaway Plus Class of NCL ships cruises to destinations such as Alaska, the Caribbean, Panama Canal and Mexican Riviera. Onboard Bliss, guests will find the largest go kart track at sea as well as plenty of fun-filled features for all the family like laser tag and the giant water park.

Norwegian Breakaway- constructed in 2013 with a refurbishment in 2018, Breakaway is a popular NCL ship with a variety of features onboard including a cool ice bar, swimming pools and outside activities like rock climbing walls. When not having fun-filled days onboard, guests can explore amazing destinations such as The Caribbean and the north east coast of the US and Canada.

Norwegian Dawn- setting sail in 2002 and refurbished in 2016, Dawn boasts a fantastic variety of entertainment for all the family, such as Los Lobos restaurant and outside pool complexes, while cruising through the Panama Canal, Europe and the Caribbean.

Norwegian Encore- part of the Breakaway Plus class of NCL cruise ships, onboard Encore you will find go karts tracks, water parks and laser tag games where all the family will have a blast. Cruising the Caribbean, Bermuda and through the Panama Canal, Encore is a great ship for those who love the sun.

Norwegian Epic- refurbished in 2010 and launched in 2015, Epic is popular for Caribbean and European cruises for year-round sunshine as well as transatlantic voyages in between. Onboard you’ll find great NCL venues and features such as the Epic Plunge water slide and Big Top circus shows.

Free of charge, these services allow parents to get some much-need relaxation time while the kids take part in fun activities and can make friends with others their own age.

Splash Academy Kids Clubs

NCL have newly designed their complimentary kids and teens programmes. With fully trained staff and engaging activities for your children to have plenty of fun with their new friends. Each age group has a program that is specially designed for their interests and needs to keep them busy and happy.

Splash Academy is divided into four age groups so your children can mix with kids their own age and enjoy activities tailored towards their interests.

  • Guppies- ages 6 months to 3 years
  • Turtles- ages 3 to 5
  • Seals- ages 6 to 9
  • Dolphins- ages 10 to 12

Entourage Teen Club

In addition to the kids clubs, Entourage is a great programme for teens (13-17yrs) and will get them out and about playing football, taking part in fashion shows, or enjoying pool parties. With so much to do around the ship they will struggle to choose between the twenty different sports on offer, the movie nights or the amazing chill-out teen lounge with vending machines, TVs, air hockey, and PlayStation® 3s.


Babysitting Services

For the evenings when parents want to have some time out from the kids, there is a group babysitting service in the kids centre for children between the ages of 3-12 yrs. Parents can relax and have fun whilst the children are also having a great time.
