Splash Academy Kids Clubs
With fully trained staff and engaging activities for your children to have plenty of fun with their new friends, each age group has a program that is specially designed to keep kids busy and happy. Divided into four age groups, your children can mix with kids their own age and enjoy activities tailored towards their interests.
- Guppies- ages 6 months to 3 years
- Turtles- ages 3 to 5
- Seals- ages 6 to 9
- Dolphins- ages 10 to 12
Entourage Teen Club
In addition to the kids clubs, Entourage is a great programme for teens (13-17yrs) and will get them out and about playing football, taking part in fashion shows or enjoying pool parties. With so much to do around the ship they will struggle to choose between the twenty different sports on offer, the movie nights or the amazing chill-out teen lounge with vending machines, TVs, air hockey, and PlayStation® 3s.
For the evenings when parents want to have some time out from the kids, there is a group babysitting service in the kids centre for children between the ages of 3-12 yrs. Parents can relax and have fun whilst the children are also having a great time.
Norwegian Cruise Lines are real trend setters when it comes to dining while on your cruise. Thanks to their brilliant freestyle dining, guests are not restricted to set mealtimes, although you can book in advance if you wish. Instead, you can simply go with the flow and eat when and where you fancy.

Guests can enjoy accommodation, meals in the complimentary dining venues, entertainment, access to pools and the gym, kids and teens clubs, and room service, all included in the cruise fare.
Freestyle cruising means guests can enjoy their cruise holiday exactly as they wish, with no fixed dress code, formal dining nights or dining sittings.
Known for their family-friendly cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line often attract guests looking for a casual, fun-filled cruise holiday. Offering entertainment and activities for all the family, the majority of NCL customers are often American.
Guests who cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line will be able to enjoy the benefits of the Latitudes Programme, offering rewards based on how many nights you have spent on an NCL cruise.
Norwegian cruise lines have dedicated Studio cabins specially reserved and designed for solo cruisers with no single supplements. There’s also the Studio Lounge reserved for single cruisers where you can relax and make friends with fellow travellers.
Norwegian have a very laid-back attitude to dress codes and formality in contrast to some other cruise lines. During the day you can wear what you wish and in the evenings you can just dress smart but casually- meaning no swimming costumes of sleeveless shirts. There are also various events put on throughout your cruise on select evenings. The highlight is the popular ‘Dress Up or Not Night’ where guests are encouraged to go glam, as well as the themed ‘White Night’. It’s your choice if you wish to attend these events with plenty of alternative options if it’s not your style.
The Norwegian cruise fleet has internet cafes as well as Wi-Fi around the ships. There are various internet packages to choose from starting at $12.50 a day and are cheaper to book in advance. In addition, as part of NCL’s Free At Sea offer, you can choose free Wi-Fi as one of your package options.
The buffet is open 24 hours a day, while guests can also order room service any time.
You can reserve any speciality dining from 90 days before your sailing date using your MY NCL account. If you have any specific requests such as to celebrate a special occasion, please inform us and we will see if we can arrange your request, alternatively, you can reserve dining places and make special requests once onboard.
Norwegian Cruise Lines have a limited number of special access staterooms equipped with the following facilities and amenities:
- Shower seats and grab bars
- Widened doorways
- Raised beds
- Adjustable hanging rods in the closets
Yes, each NCL ship has an onboard medical centre staffed by a doctor and assistant. Here, you can get medication such as seasickness tablets but be aware that any medication or treatment you receive is subject to a charge.
As well as special access cabins, all Norwegian cruise ships have:
- Pool lifts
- Wheelchair rental
- Accessible public bathrooms
- Assistance for boarding and disembarking
- Assistance animals allowed
- Access officers
Assistance dogs which are trained are allowed onboard NCL ships but emotional support animals are not permitted under any circumstances. In order to bring your service dog you must book at least 2 weeks before the departure date and provide the animal’s vaccination records, USDA or International Health certificates as well as providing food, medication and a life jacket. The cruise line will provide the sandbox.
Wheelchairs and scooters are allowed onboard NCL ships provided they are no wider than 28 inches and powered by gel-cell batteries with adaptable 110v chargers. If your stateroom is not easy access, you’ll need a collapsible wheelchair in order to fit through the door and allow for the item to be stored in the cabin. Wheelchair rentals are available but are limited and on a first, come, first served basis so it’s highly recommended you bring your own.
Norwegian Cruise Line Covid-19 safety measures
Vaccination and Testing Requirements
For cruises departing through 31st October 2021, all guests must be fully vaccinated against coronavirus at least 14 days prior to departure. Proof must be given through the NHS app or a vaccine card.
Before boarding and before disembarking, guests must undergo a Covid-19 antigen test at the expense of the cruise line.

Health and Safety Procedures
Enhanced onboard measures during a Norwegian Cruise Line voyage will include frequent and thorough cleaning and disinfecting before every voyage, including at the cruise terminal. Where possible, the terminal will be fogged. Once onboard continuous cleaning and disinfecting will be carried out, especially on high-traffic touch poiints throughout the ship. To allow for social distancing, guest capacity will be reduced as NCL return to service.
Face masks will be required at all times when indoors. The only exception to this is when guests are in their own accomodation or are eating or drinking.
Norwegian Cruise Line ships have enhanced medical illnesses in the event that anyone onboard should show symptoms of Covid-19. Rapid diagnostic testing for COVID-19, medical oxygen, medication and vaccinations can all be found onboard.
Excursions and Going Ashore
Guests can explore ports of call independently in accordance with port-specific protocols at the time of sailing. Guests can also buy cruise line organised shore excursions as, by partnering with local destinations and tour operators, NCL can extend their stringent health and safety measures ashore.

Even for sailings which do not leave British waters, all guests must have a passport with six months validity to travel.

- Norwegian Sun - 18th January 2022
- Norwegian Bliss cruise on 4th October 2021
- Norwegian Sky - 30th August 2021. Cruises from 17th October 2021 up to and including 21st January 2022 are also cancelled.
- Norwegian Star - 23rd September 2021. Cruises from 3rd October 2021 up to and including 2nd January 2022 are also cancelled.
- Norwegian Dawn - 26th September 2021. Cruises from 3rd October up to and including 21st November 2021 are also cancelled.
- Norwegian Breakaway - 17th October 2021
- Norwegian Encore - 28th October 2021

Flexible Booking Terms
Risk Free Booking- if you have a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise booked up to 31st October 2020 you can cancel in advance of the holiday start date. If you choose this option you will receive a 100% refund in future cruise credit which can be used on cruises up to 31st December 2022.
FlexibleTerms- if your plans change, there's no need to worry, as your Future Cruise Credit can be used this year or next year.
