Norwegian Star

Built in 2001, the Norwegian Star is one of the glories of the Norwegian Cruise Line. At 294 meters long, it is a luxurious behemoth of the seas; standing on shore to watch it glide inwards from the open sea is a majestic experience. The Norwegian Star was built to set the standard for freestyle cruising, allowing passengers to take in a vast array of entertainment and take part in exciting activities while dining and sailing in the height of luxury. Over a decade later, it is still one of the foremost cruise ships on the water, delighting thousands of passengers every year (it has a capacity of over 2,300) and allowing each of them to get a glimpse of what life should truly be like.

Seventy percent of the rooms on the Norwegian Star feature beautiful views of the open ocean, with an open feel that will make you forget you’re sailing on such a massive ship. If you’re looking for the high life, there are also two suites with three bedrooms, private gardens, and sundecks available - an unusual feature on any cruise ship, let alone one of this size! Cruises are available in Northern Europe as well as along the Mexican Riviera departing from Los Angeles, with plenty of sailings each year to enjoy. If you’re looking for something truly out of the ordinary for your long awaited holiday, book today on the Norwegian Star for the cruise of a lifetime.

With its “Freestyle Cruising” ethos, the Norwegian Cruise Line goes to great lengths to provide passengers with a wide range of delicious dining choices. Fourteen dining options, plus nine bars and lounges, ensure that you’ll never be short of something new and exciting to try.

The two primary dining rooms - the Aqua Main Dining Room and the Versailles Main Dining Room - feature carefully curated menus crafted exclusively for the Norwegian Star by top chefs. If you’re interested in truly fine dining, the Versailles will take your breath away with multi-course meals created by award winning chefs, each of them members of the gourmet society Chaine des Rotisseurs. Elsewhere on board you can choose from cafes and buffets, comfort food or something light and refreshing, or whatever strikes your fancy.

The Norwegian Star also caters to various diets; if you’re curious, we’d love to talk with you and explain your many options on board.

Due to Hawaiian zoning regulations, the Norwegian Star was originally built without an on-board casino. Today, it features one of the most beautiful casinos on the water - the Star Club Casino - featuring 158 slot machines, card tables, and much more.

Of course, the casino is only one wonderful option of many. Once onboard, you can relax by the pool, take in a wine tasting, pamper yourself at the Mandara Spa, then catch a Broadway or Vegas-style show at the Stardust Theatre - all in one day!

Kids and teenagers will love the wide variety of choices as well, including teen and children club rooms, an arcade, sports courts, the Splash Down kid’s pool, and more. For entertainment, the Norwegian Star features musicals, magicians, comedy, and theatre; whatever makes you laugh, cry, or tickles your funny bone, you’re sure to find it on board.
