One of the most famous cruise lines for families, children’s facilities are in abundance with Marella. From the Baby Centre to Splash Live, the Kid's Club to the cool Teen Hideout, children and young adults are well catered for onboard Marella Discovery.
As well as a main pool area with plenty of loungers and whirlpools to keep all the family entertained on long days at sea, Marella Discovery also boasts an indoor pool with glass canopy for a dip whatever the weather.
As one of the largest cruise ships in the Marella Cruises fleet, diners onboard Marella Discovery are truly spoilt for choice. Diners will always find a table at the main restaurant in the evening or a tasty snack to grab by the pool during the day. In addition, you can also enjoy speciality dining for a special treat.
Marella Discovery is bursting with things to do during sea days and evenings alike, including a climbing wall, mini golf, escape room, video arcade, sumptuous spa and live shows.
From chilled-out piano bars to late-night dance floors, contemporary cocktails to al fresco views, there’s a bar venue to suit every mood with Marella Discovery.
Loved the size of ship, previous cruise we have done with MSC was too big. Staff on Marella Discovery were brilliant. More karaoke would have been great, it was held for about 1 hour and the room was packed, everyone was disappointed when it had to finish. There is definitely enough time on board to have another session particularly on the at sea days. The walking group from the Flamsbana Railway excursion should have started much earlier given the numbers in the group. The leader wasn't able to give time for breaks which could be a problem for some people not used to walking. As an experienced walk leader myself I was concerned how spread out the walkers were and we were being rushed to get to the station for the return journey. Otherwise it was a wonderful day but spoilt by worrying about my wife who desperately needed a short rest stop.
Fabulous holiday
Good service
Everything about this cruise was excellent especially the crew service and entertainment. It was our first Marella cruise and won't be our last. Sailing from Newcastle was perfect for us living in York.
