Gijon Cruise Deals
The cooler climate in the north of Spain makes it popular with Spaniards looking to escape the summer heat and the Asturian city of Gijon welcomes visitors with open arms. First off is a stop at one of the many sidrerías found in this region of the country. Here you can relax in a rustic, dark-wood clad bar with a locally-brewed cider and snacking on traditional tapas dishes. For something a little more family friendly, the city's aquarium is guaranteed to enchant visitors of all ages too. While temperatures may be slightly more bearable than in the south of Spain, this doesn't mean you won't be able to soak up the sun, San Lorenzo being the main beach in Gijon, or if you'd prefer to take a stroll in nature, Saint Catalina Hill is a lovely park with views of the city to one side and the sea to the other.
