What's included?

Mt. Fuji with Bullet Train Tour - Tokyo - Enjoy a day of taking in the different views of Mt. Fuji. First, you will travel to the Hakone Sky Gondola for a ride over the Owakudani Valley, where you will see sulphur fields, as well as views out to Lake Ashinoko and Mt. Fuji. You will enjoy a short stop in Owakudani before moving onto Lake Ashi for a cruise. This lake, formed by a volcanic eruption 3,000 years ago is set with Mt. Fuji as the backdrop. With most of the shores not particularly developed, you can enjoy some beautiful scenery and mountain views. This is followed by the Shinkansen (Bullet train) back to Tokyo, where the tour completes at Odawara station where you are free to continue exploring, or travel back to the hotel if you wish. Please note the tour may operate in reverse with the bullet train first and all views are subject to good weather conditions.
Hirosaki Castle Spring Blossoms Shore Excursion - Aomori Port - From Aomori port you will be taken to Hirosaki Castle/Park. You will have free time to explore the castle/park grounds, walking amongst the 2,600 Cherry Blossom trees where you can spot around 50 different types of blossom trees including Someiyoshino, Weeping Cherry, and Double Cherry. For a different view, hire a rowing boat and paddle out on the lake (at a charge locally). After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Neputa Village, a museum dedicated to Neputa Matsuri - a famous Hirosaki festival. The festival shows off beautifully painted large floats displaying mythological warriors amongst others and some of these can be seen at the museum. Please note Cherry Blossom sighting can't be guaranteed due to the short window of opportunity

Great cruise from Japan to Singapore. We had to miss Toba, due to the weather. Apart from that, the cruise itself was very good. The food was excellent and the service is guaranteed to be perfect with Princess. Our transfers worked perfectly and the hotels at either end could not have been better.

Everything worked out very well regarding flights, transfers, hotel and cruise. However the cruise was severly interrupted by a typhoon resulting in three of the six ports on the schedule not being visited. I appreciate that the weather is one of those things but it apears all the risk is carried by the passengers as it is no skin of the nose of Princess if ports are missed and their T&C means that the passangers rely on 'goodwill' from Princess. In this instance it was bit of on-board credit that was of no use to us as we were already on princess + and a future credit towards cruise bookedin the next couple of months. Not much cosnidered we flew half way round the world for this trip and 50% of the ports were missed.
