Fantastic cruise Christmas and new year on Ambiance wonderful food, amazing entertainment,wonderful staff could not ask fo a better, time would thoughly recommend

The ship is a little old and tired however it is going in for a refit. Cabin storage excellent so much wardrobe space. We really enjoyed the entertainment and thought the theatre group singers and actors excellent

Poor and boring entertainment! Apart from the 3 professional artists! Cabin: small, cheap bedding, 1 plug socket! Food: mediocre! Bar areas nice! Would definitely not sail on her again! Very disappointing

Overall good value for money. The staff are mostly friendly and offer good service, with the exception of a few. The cabins are basic but comfortable, they need updating to include more sockets for the 21st century. Wifi was reasonably good. Food was only average, not special & certainly never spectacular, even on formal nights of which they dictated there were 3 on just an 8 night cruise. The buffet restaurant is not self-service which we really dislike as it led to more food wastage. It's also is too small for the number of guests needing to use it, especially given that there's nowhere else to eat during the day, so extend it or extend the opening hours!! Unusually for cruise lines there's no food available after 9. 00pm apart from a few (once again served to you on a hit & miss basis) deep fried nibbles. We would choose to eat late after entertainment so will most likely book elsewhere another time, although existing dining times should remain for those who prefer. With regard to the bar drinks there is a very good choice available, however, the list is exhaustive, they will not serve it if it's not on the list, why not?, they have all of the ingredients. The resident musicians offered a variety to suit most tastes. Theatre shows not to our taste but many seemed to like. More information on port/destination a on the daily newsletter would be helpful & definitely more shuttle services, whether complimentary of paid. Satisfied would sum up the experience!

We loved our cruise, the food was excellent, staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Our only issues were the quilts were singles and small on a double bed, the shuttle bus to and from Gothenburg was a disorganised mess (not what we usually experience) and the theatre plots were a bit strange. The talent of the staff onboard was incredible and we would definitely go again!

Fabulous from start to finish, everything first class.

Overall had a fab time. Some positives and some negatives. Cabin was a good size but sadly extremely noisy. Could hear neighbours toilets flushing, noisy air con, and creaking furniture. Neighbours were quiet, it was just the sounds of the cabin. Maybe it was near a generator or engine? Ship decor was lovely. Loved the lift pictures. Clean and tidy. Sun beds could be cleaned up a bit. The usual bed and chair hoggers were around. This really needs to be policed better. Jacuzzis were poor and not working. Spa wasn't the best either. Preferred spa on Ambition Food was fab. Plenty to choose from. Staff amazing as per usual. Slightly disappointed that I paid a lot for an inside cabin when others got offered an outside cabin for price of inside, that was considerably cheaper than what I paid. I think upgrades should be offered to those who've already paid more. Maybe I'll wait until last minute next time. I also requested a breakdown of the gratuities as I heard that not all staff get them. We were unable to get a clear response from reception. This needs to be more transparent as to who gets them. Great cruise line overall and I would use again.

First time on Ambience and I thoroughly enjoyed it Cabin was great in a very good position ( didn’t get lost once 😀 Food was good lots of choices The entertainment team were friendly and put their all into games etc Shows were good on the whole Embarkation & disembarkation really good Even the sea behaved going through the Bay of Biscay

I have marked down the cabin to four stars as my son's cabin was extremely noisy. However, when he gave information to the reception team he was told that some engineers would be coming along to his cabin. These guys were excellent and fixed the problem. They were efficient and polite. Thank you. However, a three because the cabin was not inspected beforehand and also I specified a double bed and there were two singles. Apart from this we had a wonderful time and I would wholly recommend the cruise.

A great cruise, however the food gets a bit samey after a while. Also the excursions are expensive and poor value for money.
