Very good cruise!
Sailing from Southampton is very convenient without the hassle of flying. The ship (P&O Arvia) was busy as it was the first two weeks of the school holidays. We were travelling as a couple with no children but always managed to avoid the worst of the hubbub. There were plenty of restaurant options and some adult only entertainment/ venues. All very well organised, excellent food and service and great value for money. We had an inside cabin which was comfortable and clean and we were well looked after by our cabin steward, Noel. Itinerary was good for us with two new-to-us ports of call, Alicante and La Coruna. We didn't participate in shore excursions or organised activities other than one pop quiz. I rated them with 5 stars because there wasn't a N/A option. Didn't buy a drinks package as we don't drink a lot, but we enjoyed what drinks we purchased in the bars and restaurants and they weren't over-priced. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable two weeks holiday.
Brilliant ship, truly outstanding. Especially the atrim with its massive glass walls; so watching the scenery and sunsets was great.
What a fabulous ship Arvia is! I would definitely recommend anybody to at least try once in a lifetime experience!
We had an amazing cruise, the Arvia was fantastic, staff were attentive and very friendly. The food and venues were excellent with high quality food and plenty of venues to choose from. Our cabin was clean and tidy just what we needed and expected. The trips were good and not to expensive.
Loved the ship and all the destinations. Food was fantastic, plentiful and varied. The only negative we had was the flight. Aero Maleth has no entertainment for such a long flight and the stewards didn’t seem keen on serving too many drinks. We were delayed both ways and I think for the same problem; something not sliding into place in the hold. Otherwise, I would recommend the trip, just make sure you’re on a different flight.
Arvia is a large beautiful ship with an open plan feel, Greens Restaurant inc Mizhuana was really good. We felt that the cruise was more aimed at the younger clientele, the food in the Zenith and Meridan resturants was nice. Sindhu was not so good on the Arvia, also the cocktails were ok but lacked variety. The 710 club was really good as was the retreat especially a waiter named Advent who was always pleasant and helpful, However entry to the retreat needs to be policed better as people were letting in their friend and family who never had lanyards. Shore excursions were good apart from one which we found rather dull and boring. Our cabin steward Mel was excellent and went above and beyond to help us.
Lovely ship, very clean and bright.
Excellent room. Food was very good in the buffet and the restaurants too. Entertainment was mostly very good. Facilities were excellent. Gym 24 hour. Laundry was 8 am to 10pm. Recommended.
Arvia is a lovely ship. Food choices and quality are first class. Entertainment especially in our 3rd week was disappointing and very repetitive. A few niggly annoyances but we rose above them and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
