I think that the Queen Victoria is our favourite of all the Cunard ships. We were very impressed that Captain Sharples was visible around the ship and took time to talk to the passengers. I would have given five stars, but we were very disappointed that the heating system in the Winter Garden on deck 9 wasn't working. I wish I had had the opportunity to talk to the Captain about the Winter Gardens. I was annoyed that the staff and the purser's desk wouldn't give me a straight answer. There is clearly a hot air heat system with ducts and vents in the Winter Gardens, but, for our entire voyage, they were not turned on. Either the system wasn't working, and they were unable to fix it, or perhaps they were trying to save costs by not turning it on. If the latter is true, it was a shot in the foot, as their bar revenue must have been well down. We wanted to hear the Irish duo, who were very good, and ended up sitting their in our coats!!

first time with cunard on queen victoria, ship is a bit dated but overall was ok, had a balcony cabin, had to have the toilet unblocked a couple of times , had to have 2 ports cancelled due to stormy conditions, but that is no-ones fault, it was our golden wedding anniverary cruise staff were very attentive , i think the entertainment is better on P&O, a niggle was in the Lido restaurant there are notrays and you have to go backwards and forwards when getting food.

I found that sometimes the menu did not exactly describe what we had on the plate. It was not always clear what we were eating. I am not a fussy eater but at times I was disappointed with my choice and food was never very hot.
