Excellent service, great staff, good food in the dining room and select restaurants. Drinks package was excellent. Ship was spotlessly clean. Excursion to Santorini was a huge disappointment, not enough time to Oia and Fira.
A great, relaxing holiday on a lovely ship with excellent service.
My wife and I cruised with Royal Caribbean 6 times quite a few years ago and since then 4 times on Queen Mary 2, once on P&O Oceana, and once on Queen Victoria. The truth is this was the worst cruise we have been on. Their service, food, and overall standards were not what we expected. They charge far more than Cunard and P&O in respect of drinks and automatic charges but do not give anything like the service we would expect. We will never ever cruise with them again and would not recommend them to anyone. P&O and Cunard are far superior in their treatment of clients, entertainment, crew attentiveness, and overall onboard expenses are lower. Also the dress code was not adhered to by many passengers but the crew did not do anything about this. Just seems a complete acceptance that standards have dropped and have a careless attitude. We are so disappointed as it was my wife's 65th birthday while on board. for us in the future.
Good cruise
Value for money, good destinations, not one of our best with Royal Caribbean
As good as always
Our cruise was very good but we did feel that Royal are cutting a few slight but important corners. In particular the entertainment. On 1 night there was no live headliner act in the theatre. We enjoyed the movie that was shown instead because fortunately we had not seen it, but going to the cinema is not something we would normally expect to do on a cruise. Also the Take That Experience, albeit that they were excellent, were on for 2 nights, basically repeating their show. Our biggest disappointment of all, and I think we should have been notified of this by Planet Cruise, or maybe Royal is that our original itinerary stated that we would arrive in to Le Havre at 10. 00 am. It was quite clear that this was never going to be the case and so our much researched plans of going into Paris on our own were not possible. Even if we had traveled in to Paris, we would not have had time to do what we had planned in one very much shortened afternoon.
Usual RC experience. the singer/pianist in the Schooner Bar was awful, apart from that it was fine
Chaotic dining for 1st night. . . …. 6pm was too far overbooked resulting in queues or pax being sent to other decks to eat. 3 main acts were superb. Stateroom suitable, but in need of a refurb. Not much storage space.
We didn’t do any excursions. We booked it for the shows and stars on board - we enjoyed it very much and met some really great people. The three colour ticketing worked really well. The staff were very good and worked hard. Thanks for a great experience.
