Wonderful four night cruise on QM2, definitely 5*+ & as good as before Covid. Food, service & entertainment all marvellous đź‘Źđź‘Ź Didn't go on excursion.
I really liked the QM2 even though it's more liner than cruise ship. The service and food were well up to the standard I expect from Cunard. The cabin was good though would be a little cramped for a couple, especially for drawer and shelf space. I liked the closed balcony which I made great use of. The lectures were very good, the shows adequate. There was an issue with the timings of the films. During sea days there should be a film shown at 2.30 0r 3pm not 5pm or 10pm. I only managed to get to one film in the Illuminations theatre and that was by missing a dessert. The choice of films was a bit bizarre mainly aimed at the teenage market. There were no teenagers on board. The great majority of the passengers were in my age group, over seventies. The same goes for the Cabin TV where there were few films for my age group but a lot of children's films, there were practically no children of school age on board.
Excellent Coronation Cruise.
A splendid way to return from Australia to Southampton.

Very nice ship, lovely staff. Very good value for what we paid. Getting on the ship and off was so quick. Only complaints are that the buffet was quite busy and the cabin service breakfast needs improvement.
Queen Mary 2 is the ultimate cruising experience. We had 6 days in a hotel in New York and then the Atlantic crossing - all organised by Planet Cruise. Everything was wonderful.
Just a short 4-nighter for our first time on QM2 - some people say it's a bit tired and not dissimilar to other cruise ships (P&O) but couldn't disagree more - QM2 is a unique ship, a grand ship, both in design and style. We loved the sweeping rear decks, the wide promenade deck (a proper deck going right around the ship), wide walkways, huge staircases, all the interior decor, comfortable lounges and bars, plenty of places to find and relax - we'll have to back as there's still a couple of places we didn't get round to seeing. Comfortable theatres (2). We had an 'obstructed view' balcony which was comfortable, adequate and spacious - the view didn't bother us! The entertainment on board was top class. We liked the Kings Court self-service and found the main restaurant pleasant - although my meal the first night was tough (pork) and the service a little slow (we've had better on P&O). We shall definitely be booking on her again just to experience this ship for all it has to offer- upholding the true Cunard traditions.
We really enjoyed our cruise to Norway and we are now looking to book for next year. We loved the ship, there's only a small change we'd make and that's that the bathroom was a little small for us. We didn't go on any excursions.
