Customer reviews for MSC Seaside
There needs to a better explanation on booking of how to book a transfer from the airport to the cruise terminal. No one from MSC was around so we had to get a taxi which cost 45 euro. We managed to book a shuttle at the excursions desk for the trip back at the end of the week but this was us pestering and not MSC offering. Excursions on the whole were very good. No double bed option in room although photo on web site always showed a double bed. Safe was too small for iPads. No kettle in room WiFi package was stingy. On the 1 device package you couldn’t log your iPhone off then jump on with your iPad. I get they want you to buy more packages but it’s a bit naff. Clean towels always smelt fusty and were always marked. Cleanliness of cabin was not great and there were some chips out of the bathroom sink unit surface. The floor in the bathroom always looked marked and dirty. It looked a little tired. Buffet options were always the same and they run out of cutlery, plates and cups regularly. Staff were very slow to clear tables. The main restaurant was nice but very stingy on vegetables Entertainment was by the on board group who were very talented but it got a bit samey and boring later in the week. They needed some visiting bands etc to mix things up a bit. White night was a lot of fun. Hot drinks ordered at the bars were generally luke warm by the time you got them. We found that lack of info made things confusing and when we asked staff we didnt always get the right answers. The cruise mainly catered for Italian and Spanish so sometimes the language barrier could be interesting. Specially restaurants were good. We tried the Tacos and the steak place and both were great. We wanted to compare MSC to P&O because we have only cruised with them before and to be honest MSC did not match up in a lot of ways.
Beautiful modern ship, lovely pools, entertainment was good for 1st week but repeated 2 nd week. Food is lovely but repeated on a daily basis.
Fantastic ship, disappointing that the service did not live up to the same standard. Clear that there was a Low staff to passenger ratio and long waits for service at coffe bar and drinks bars. Good itinerary
