Weather wasn't as good as we expected, the atmosphere on the ship was good, we met some lovely people, the meals in the oriental restaurant were excellent so we're the staff. There was a few lifts not working which meant we used the stairs alot
Azura is a fine old ship in good condition and ideal for British cruisers. We found the food quality excellent in both the MDR and specialty restaurants. Entertainment was generally okay if a little limited in the main theatre in that the excellent singers and dancers were on three time and the Queen tribute act twice, so not much variety. The guest speaker was not very professional other than that there was plenty of other things to do.
Plus - Cabin great Plus - Staff great Plus - Food good Minus - Entertainment hit and miss Minus - Excursion cancelled as not enough participants Huge Minus - Bingo and horse racing nights in the nightclub at 9pm!!! Huge Minus- Live events cancelled to show football Huge Minus - Quizzes every 5 minutes even in quiet zones - too many
From our jet2 flight, transfer transport to the boat and boarding was quick and efficient. The staff on board the ship was fantastic, our balcony cabin on deck R midship was perfectly located and stocked with white company liquid soap. We had the classic drinks package which gave us a full range of drink albeit being single measures only (but we coped) !! Restaurants were great, food quality very good and the speciality Sindu Indian restaurant was excellent. Atmosphere on the ship was great, could always get a drink, entertainment in most areas. Great value for money, great bars and plenty of sun beds - although busy on sea days. We will be back P&O offer a great all round product.
This was our first cruise. It was a great surprise as we have anti cruise. We are now looking to book another this year. Great way to meet people and great entertainment if you wanted it. Shout out to British our cabin boy. Was always so helpful.
Great Cruise.
Very smooth through check in and security very short delay with flight, the new system in place in Tenerife airport for fingerprints etc completely crashed but got through without much delay using the old system. Transfer to ship was good and checked in and boarded quickly. Our 3rd cruise on Azura was again very good. The only problem we had was returning home with Flu / Covid . We will be back on Azura in May
Absolutely wonderful every way
Ship presents as a little dated. The cabin good. The main dining menu is a little odd but the dishes aren’t as complicated as the descriptions suggest. The food is generally good here. The buffet food standard whilst ok, the choice was more limited than other cruises we have taken. All staff without exception were excellent. The entertainment on board was varied and generally very good. The only area of complaint was not enough toilets on board, the ladies were particularly busy. If we get a good value deal we will cruise p&o again but would not pay a premium to do so.
Was fairly easy to check in, cabin was very clean and comfortable.
