Customer reviews for Azura
Good itinerary, food good and drinks prices reasonable. Inside cabin was quite roomy and perfectly adequate. The speciality restaurants are excellent and service impeccable. A range of entertainment in the theatre and Manhattan bar so something to suit everyone. The main draw is that the cost of the cruise, flight and transfers represents excellent value for money.
Lovely Ship and food was excellent. Staff looked stressed at times due to staff shortages with sickness on board. Entertainment was mostly excellent with Tom Ball, Sarah Dunn and the headliners but unfortunately Dean Stansby was poor. But overall a very enjoyable cruise.
Generally speaking we enjoyed the cruise. It’s been 10 years since we were first on Azura and the food has changed quite a bit in that time. Quantity of food is definitely less but quality is generally better. All the little touches like petit fours after every meal have gone - 1 after eight on formal nights only. Also, there are signs to say not to reserve sun loungers but no body is enforcing that so what’s the point. We saw loads of instances of loungers being reserved for hours at a time with nobody on them which is just selfish. Also, no longer do the waiting staff come round the sun loungers asking if you’d like a drink. Cabin stewards only come in once per day so no chocolates on the pillow! Only small things but you can definitely see how corners have been cut and money trying to be saved. Overall a nice week though.
One of the smaller ocean cruisers but that is great, there is a good ratio of passengers to staff. All staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment happening all day long, some excellent, some good and some not so good. Cabin sizes are ok. Ship is clean. Varied menu in the buffet but the buffet food area could do with being more spacious. Signage could be better in buffet area when one of the buffet restaurant food area is closed. Electric sockets in cabin do not seem to be fixed tightly as they move when pulling out a plug.
