Bolette follows Fred. Olsen tradition by being named after the current head of the fleet’s great-great grandmother. A comfy and modern home away from home for cruisers on their travels, Bolette boasts the best of both worlds as only a medium-sized ship can. Providing the perfect balance of a wide range of amenities on offer that come with a larger ship, yet the intimate atmosphere and ability to go to ports larger vessels cannot access, Bolette even offers cruises from Dover.

With treatment rooms, thermal spa and hydrotherapy pool, you'll leave Fred. Olsen's Bolette feeling brand new, and the relaxing doesn't have to stop there as the main pool complete with retractable roof means you'll always be able to take a dip or lounge about by the water's edge whatever the weather.
Alongside Bolette's spacious two-tiered restaurant serving up delightful dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are also a variety of other venues, some of which are included in your fare and others at an additional cost, where guests will find everything from comfort food classics to gourmet cuisine.
Keeping guests entertained even when the day's shore excursions are done, onboard Bolette the range of cosy, lively and late-night venues mean that the night doesn't have to end once the sun has set.
With plenty of bars and lounges to choose from day and night aboard this fantastic cruise ship, you’ll always be able to find somewhere to sit down and have a drink or speak to your fellow cruisers on Bolette. The venues offer a fantastic array of drinks and live entertainment while others present a more quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Extremely courteous and polite crew who all worked very hard to keep the ship in spotless condition. From collecting your bags in the car park to helping you to disembark the entire crew were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food and service was of the same excellent standard with huge choice all cooked to your liking and impeccably presented. Always plenty to see and do on board with a wide range of activities and demonstrations throughout the day and into the late evening. Drinks were expensive but not prohibitive, most upmarket hotels would charge more. Excursions seemed expensive but there was no pressure to buy and tenders to and from shore were frequent so you could organise your own time ashore if you wished. I had a terrace cabin with easy access to the promenade deck where I could use binoculars and take photographs from all around the ship. Many lounges, bars and restaurants around the ship where you could if you wished eat and drink all day, made easy by the personable staff. Overall a very hospitable voyage in a comfortable cabin with great service. I would repeat the experience to a different destination but personally a week is just long enough to indulge and recharge.
Could not fault anything. Ship, service, food, scenery. Now converted and will cruise again, if only from Newcastle.
My experience on Bolette with Fred Olsen has been amazing. I was honestly impressed with all the staff on board. They were really professional, all of them - starting from the cleaners to the reception staff, the entertainment, the staff from the restaurants. It was an amazing experience and I am honestly looking forward for my next cruise with Fred Olsen.
It was my first sail on the Bolette. I loved the decor of the ship and the size was just right. It had the expected Fred Olsen service and personal attention. I was very pleased to be travelling with Capt Jozo Glavic again, he shows such genuine warmth towards the passengers and crew. The entertainment from the Bolette Theatre Company was first rate, the singers had beautiful voices. The musicians who played at venues around the ship were also very talented. As was the Circle of Fifths who played for the dancers. It was an absolute delight to dance with hosts Darren and Paul both were good ballroom dancers and really made my cruise.
