Caribbean Princess is among the most family-friendly of the ships in the Princess Cruises fleet. The onboard Camp Discovery program offers three different kid's clubs grouped into appropriate age ranges (from 3 to 17), and each one facilitates a myriad of educational yet fun activities. Having collaborated with the Discovery Channel, little ones can take part in thrilling stargazing adventures, science experiments, talent shows and golf tournaments.
Caribbean Princess boasts more swimming pools onboard than most cruise ships typically do, with a main pool area, family splash zone, adult-only pools and, of course, several Jacuzzis.
As well as the main dining venues, Caribbean Princess also boasts a number of specialty dining restaurants, such as Sabatini’s and Crown Grill, plus a number of relaxed cafes and poolside bars to keep you refreshed and, of course, room service for lazy days at sea.
The fun never stops aboard Caribbean Princess! Enjoy lounging in front of Movies under the Stars with complimentary popcorn, add to your art collection in the Explorers Lounge, make new friends at a Nintendo Wii Sports tournament or even learn Ballroom Dancing. Meanwhile, for those looking for some rest and relaxation, check out the boutique shops or the spa to truly unwind.
Aboard Caribbean Princess there's a selection of high-energy, light-hearted or relaxing bar venues. Club Fusion is recommended for fun and games, with the Marriage Game always causing a few laughs! Depending on your music taste, Skywalker Nightclub and Wheelhouse Bar get the party started, Piazza Lounge offers musical performances from top musicians and Crooners boasts an in-house pianist to match the Martini cocktails.
Service great. Caribbean Princess clearly a very old ship. They were piloting "Medallion" system. Clearly spent lots of money which should have been put into upgrading ship. Only 2 excursions in fortnight deemed suitable for wheelchair users. Was told one of those wasn't by a woman who'd been before. Getting around ship really hard work. Ramps in doorways hard to negotiate. Doors too heavy. Doors to adapted restroom a pain to use. Only found 1 restroom with auto opener. Cabin walls scuffed. Varnish spills on glass of balcony. Grubby looking grouting in bathroom. Not warned about flight of steps at one port. Won't be going on princess again.
Ship needs updating, looking tired. Dining room experience not up to there usual standard.
Public spaces too small. Dining room awful.
Our cabin was as expected and our steward was excellent. Our dining staff were ok. However, the rest of the staff, from the buffet/ lounge waiters to the main guest desk were just not interested. They just stood around chatting and seemed really put out if you asked them to do anything. I have to say though that the entertainment staff were excellent. Will never go with Princess again.
