"We very much enjoyed this South Pacific cruise aboard Holland Americas’ Volendam. The food, cabin and crew were excellent. However the islands we visited were the real draw, and the sights and times there will live long in the memory. We did not make much use of the entertainment or activities aboard the ship although frequently used the gym and attended lessons in “bridge”. We only took two of the ships shore excursions which we found to be overpriced and not particularly good. On most of the islands we travelled around independently on public transport or by hiring a car, enabling as to see much more of the sights and beaches we particularly wanted to visit. The booking through Planet Cruise was very good and good value. Customer relations in dealing with the one problem we had of airport transfers which did not arrive on time were extremely good. Planet Cruise reimbursed our taxi fare without question and provided a £100 credit in compensation. We would recommend both Planet Cruise and Holland America." view more
