After you have checked in for your cruise and it is fully paid for, Holland America Line will provide your cruise documents, known as Express Docs. This can be sent to your own email address as well as to your cruise consultant. Your luggage tags can be printed after checking-in, from the Holland America website.

As standard, all entertainment - from theatre productions to live music - is included in the cost of your Holland America Line fare.

Holland America Line ships have a relaxed attitude to dress code. Smart casual wear is expected while dining in the restaurants, and Gala nights require formal attire (cocktail dresses and suits).

If you book with us, you'll receive up to $300 shore excursion credit per person as part of your "Have It All" package as standard. You could get even more credit as part of an early booking offer or, alternatively, you can request this package is removed, although that isn't the best value option. We highly recommend the Have It All package and booking early if possible.

There is no luggage limit when cruising with Holland America Line, however it is advisable to adhere to any airline luggage restrictions if you will be flying before or after your cruise.

Guests with life-threatening allergies must complete Holland America Line's 'Special Requirements Information' form. You should declare any intolerances or dietary needs at the time of booking, and once you are onboard to the restaurant manager.

Yes, each ship in the fleet has designated smoking areas where guests can smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and e-cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted in staterooms or on verandahs, or other public areas of the ship.

Yes, there will be one Gala night on every 7 day cruise, two on cruises up to 13 days, and three on cruises of up to 20 days. Guests can choose whether or not they want to take part, and if not they can dine in the buffet or order room service.

Yes, in a nod to their Dutch heritage, at least one evening on every cruise will hold an Orange Party. The House of Orange is Holland's Royal Family, and so this colour is most associated with the country. Guests who would like to attend are asked to wear orange coloured clothes and accessories to celebrate.

Holland America Line are able to cater to vegan and vegetarian diets, though it is recommended that you declare any dietary requirements at the time of booking, and once onboard.

There are three different kid's clubs available, depending on your child's age. Clubs are split into ages 3-7, 8-12 and 13-17, and are all supervised by friendly, expert staff.

Babysitters are available during sea days at a rate of $10 per hour for the first child, and $7 per hour for additional children. Please be aware that this service may not always be available.

Staff will do their best to assist and accommodate children with special needs, however, it may be the case that they are unable to provide one on one attention.

Prams are allowed onboard however Holland America Line ask that you mention this at the time of booking, so they can take into account the extra weight that will be brought onboard.

Baby food and nappies must be requested in advance from the Ship Services Department, and will incur a charge.
