A beautiful cruise with many exciting ports to visit. Staff were excellent and efficient. Ship was very clean but in need of a refurbishment.
First time on Holland America Line, and really enjoyed it. Superb, friendly service. Smallish ship so not too many people, no big queues for dining etc. The only real negative was the evening entertainment which was OK but not to the same standard as previous cruises we have been on. Some fascinating talks on the one sea day we had: one was about the history and origins of HAL (which was really interesting and impressive); one about the different parts of the ship that guests don't normally know about; and one by the Captain telling us about his career and his role. We're already booked on our next Holland America Line cruise!
The cruise was great, lovely ship and good service. Great package itinerary. Lovely hotel stays and most transfers.
The cruise itself was a pleasurable experience. We came for the views, scenery and excursions and other than the first day were not disappointed and on several occasions had expectations exceeded.
