Thank you for a most enjoyable cruise. We chose Marella Discovery 2 to celebrate an 80th birthday and we're not disappointed. The crew were very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Liza, Ariel and Duran who looked after our cabin. The food was excellent in all the many dining options and the entertainment team were amazing. Embarking and disembarking were quick and efficient. Thanks again to Captain Freddie and his team.

Great boat and food. Cabin and restaurant staff couldn't do enough for you. Only negative were a disorganised Atrium bar team.

Marella most certainly have made recognised cutbacks though ship and cabin lovely the two stops in Cape Verdi total waste of time Unwelcoming and very hostile Nothing there to offer for tourists felt we were used as guinea pigs for Marella really Tui send a representative to the islands prior to sending your ships there or if you did even more shame on you we have made many repositioning cruises with Marella probably our last Entertainment also though the entertainment team are very good at what they do perhaps get on board more than two guest acts and probably a bit better than a Drag act and a Tom Jones impersonator though very good Also long waits at bars and some of the bar waiters very slow and miserable also when it comes to disembarkation day please please put mor than two young girls dealing with storing all the hand luggage would advise them to put at least four persons working together on it This then would reduce very long queues and enabling your guests to enjoy and have more time at their final destination before travelling home

Marella Cruises Aegean Delights on the Discovery 2. Nice destinations including Santorini, Crete and Alanya. Fantastic ship, nice cabin recently refurbished. Special credit to our very friendly and hard working cabin stewards Hendar, Melanie and Johnson! Great food and excellent entertainment. Cruise director Liam is a credit to Marella. You can tell he really cares about the staff and passengers. Look forward to another Marella Cruise soon!

We found the menu choices, didn't offer us personally a lot, but between 47 and gallery 47 we always found something and it was of a reasonable quality. Waiting staff were excellent. The delayed flight made night one difficult. The main gripe would be the lack of seating in the entertainment venues and the time it took to get a drink, also the bar staff were extremely busy at peak times. As always the staff everywhere were brilliant

Could not fault the staff, food and cleanliness of the ship , but the entertainment was very poor especially a guy called Robbie who had one tone and no personality at all.

Lovely cabin, plenty of room and Nico our steward was helpful and always smiling. Lots to do on board and places we visited were brilliant. Only downside was our last excursion in Limassol - the trip was not seeing much of the place and it was just a means of filling in time before taking us to airport, very disappointing and waste of money!

Good family cruise

Rhodes were absolutely fantastic – lively, beautiful, and full of places to explore. Santorini was only so-so for us; the stairs were closed, so the only way up was the cable car (€10 one way per person). Without taking it, there really wouldn’t have been much we could do or see. Our trip to Ephesus was a definite highlight. It’s a genuinely fascinating place, and our guide made it even better with clear, engaging explanations. Limassol, on the other hand, didn’t leave much of an impression – a typical harbour landscape with not many places to wander or enjoy. Onboard, the food was great and the service wonderful as always. The only downside was the cabin. It could really do with some refreshing: a few sheets were torn and the shower curtain had definitely seen better days 😅 Overall, we enjoyed the trip, but updating the cabins would really elevate the experience.

We had a lovely week visiting Turkey and the Greek Islands. The ship was smaller than others we've been on but had more seating areas in lounges and plenty of sunbeds. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. The crew were helpful and seemed happy in their work which is not always evident. I would definitely recommend Marella.
