Just back from Asia Explorer Cruise on Tui Marella Discovery 2. From start to finish this has been the best experience ever. Our booking agent was Derek. Derek is kind, thoughtful and considerate and absolutely goes above and beyond to ensure we got the cruise we wanted. He called to update me outside his working hours and gave us wonderful advice about the ship and some excursions. Our flight times were so convenient, the connections were smooth and boarding the ship, after a long flight was without fault. The staff on board are polite, keen to chat and offer impeccable service. Everyday was magical and we saw so many incredible places, my 81 year old Dad, my travelling companion and I would have happily stayed on and done it all again. I can’t recommend this one enough.
The Marella Discovery 2 cruise was excellent. The staff are very friendly and make sure you’re enjoying your holiday. The entertainment was very professional and the shows were amazing. Two Bar waiters on pool deck Aung and l-Made were always smiling, happy to serve me and were very attentive. My Cabin Steward Anish on deck 3 (cabin 3585) was wonderful, I requested a blanket and he got it immediately. Together with Nilesh they worked very hard and the Cabin was kept very clean daily. I loved the towel animals they made daily too, it was a lovely touch. I will definitely cruise with Marella in the future.
Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise the only down side was having 3 days at sea so the last day which we had lovely weather but meant we didn't have any time in Cyprus but had a long flight home could have finished the cruise in Crete. I understand that the ship was going on to Asia but overall a good holiday.
Had an amazing time on the cruise. The food was fabulous, service exceptional especially the dining room and housekeeping. The entertainment team were brilliant, especially Alex and the shows were phenomenal.
5* all the way! Staff excellent, always very friendly and helpful. Food excellent, especially in 47° restaurant. Definitely recommend premium drinks package. Will definitely cruise with Marella again!
We would like to acknowledge Helen, the Guest Experience Co-Ordinator and the hard working team who serviced our cabin. They were helpful, friendly and professional. One point we might raise, really for info only is - We upgraded to 'All Inclusive Plus, but found it a little bit difficult on this trip to know exactly what was included. For example, it took us a while to realise that we had to request alternative wine if we had a preference. We didn't want to seem to be demanding upgrades at the dinner table so it's a bit tricky for polite passengers. Aside from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We found everything stress free from the moment we got to the airport. All inclusive is the way to go, and was everything we needed. The entertainment was outstanding! Gusti, Marie and Fadel were the best cabin stewards ever. We liked the fact that there was no hard sell when we got onboard for dinning packages etc. The only critique would be to not use an ice cream scoop for serving the mashed potato in, it spoilt the look of some delicious food!
It was a wonderful trip, so well organised and every single member of staff were so lovely and polite and helpful, definitely recommending this holiday to all!
