In addition to the popular kids clubs, Ovation of the Seas is home to many Royal Caribbean favourites like the towering rock-climbing wall, FlowRider surf simulator and iFly indoor sky-diving experience to keep tots to teens entertained at sea.
You’ll find three swimming pools aboard Ovation of the Seas in the main outdoor pool area, a secondary pool with retractable roof and third in the form of an adult-only solarium. In addition, there’s also an aqua park play zone for the kids, complete with slides and fountains, and plenty of loungers and hot tubs for adults.
Ovation of the Seas certainly excels where cuisine is concerned. As well as your main dining rooms, there are plenty of other casual and speciality restaurants for a real spectrum of dining options. In addition, if hunger strikes throughout the rest of the day, the ship also offers a range of casual and quick eateries from fast food treats, like a tasty hot dog at the poolside grill, to a freshly prepared sandwich, salad or pastry at one of the onboard cafes.
Ovation of the Seas boasts incredible entertainment options day and night, such as the spacious Royal Theatre hosting spectacular Broadway-style productions and the fabulous array of live music and acrobatics hosted in Two70.
With plenty of bars and lounge venues open day and night to keep you refreshed and get the party started, highlights onboard Ovation of the Seas include live music and DJ sessions at the atmospheric Music Hall, the pianists at the Schooner Bar, Latin music and dancing at Beloros and, of course, Bionic Bar, where robot bartenders whip you up tasty cocktails.
Really enjoyed the cruise and the city breaks at both ends but the only negative point was the queues in Singapore and Tianjin they were awful, thank goodness it wasn't raining as it was all outdoors in China. The ship was excellent and the crew were a credit. Didn't like the tipping regime as it was unexpected cost on the budget. Have booked again for next year so we obviously enjoyed it.
Ovation of the Seas is a amazing ship, although it is a big ship, it never feels crowded, you can away find a quiet area to relax, if that’s what you chose to do. Alternatively there is so much to do, North Star, dodgems, flow rider etc etc. I have only scored the entertainment lower as we were so busy we didn’t actually see much. I would love to go on Ovation again. Planet cruise were great and Borneo AMAZING!!! It’s a YES from me.
I had a reasonable time onboard. However embarking and disembarking was nothing short of chaotic. Lack of training or not . The windjammer eating area was just like a scramble for seats everyone milling around with food in hand . This is not quantum class dining . The staff were outstanding throughout the ship
Excellent crew, however very poor overall management. Queuing for hours seems the norm with Royal Caribbean. 3+ hours to embark plus queues at almost every port and disembarkation and guest services queued constantly. No empathy or apology shown by captain or cruise director and absolutely no attempt to explain reasons for queues or assist controlling them. This is not a cruise line it is a queues line.
