Spectrum of the Seas

Joining Royal Caribbean as the first Quantum Ultra cruise ship. Spectrum of the Seas offers 'wow-moment' cruise holidays to make the whole family smile. Cruising Asia and the South Pacific since spring 2019, there are some incredible destinations cruisers can explore on a Spectrum of the Seas itinerary. See Ilocos in the Philippines, Niigita and Hakodate in Japan, and Vladivostok in Russia to name a few.

A range of staterooms and suites are available to accommodate a maximum of up to 4,200 guests, while Royal Caribbean’s award winning entertainment and world-class food create unforgettable moments onboard.
As an Asia-based cruise ship, it won't be a surprise to learn that onboard there is a significant focus on the fantastic cuisine that is available in this part of the world. Having said this, there are also plenty of Western-style dining options onboard, should you prefer more familiar food during the cruise. The Windjammer Marketplace has a wide array of choice, including tasty pizzas and authentic Chinese Hot Pots. Alternatively, head to one of the speciality restaurants;
  • Izumi - for freshly prepared sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delights
  • Dadong Wonderland - find classic dishes like crispy duck, as well as other, innovative Chinese cuisine
  • Chop's Grille - choose this restaurant if you're looking for a simple, succulent, perfectly cooked steak
  • Jamie's Italian - dine on delicious pizza and pasta dishes at this popular venue
Another must-try venue is the Leaf and Bean - a pretty and atmospheric Asian tea room. Here you can try a variety of Chinese teas - or go for coffee if preferred - as well as treat yourself to a delicate cake or pastry.
Have a go karaoke-ing at Star Moment, or try your luck at the onboard casino before heading to the Bionic Bar for a cocktail made for you by a robot arm! Or, for a little captivating escapism head to the Show Lounge for some brilliant live entertainment, or the cinema or outdoor movie screen to see a classic film or one of the latest blockbusters. The library is also a great spot where you can get lost in an interesting novel for an hour or more.

Cruisers concerned with neglecting their health and fitness during their holiday can rest assured that Spectrum of the Seas offers plenty of ways to keep active. As well as the sports facilities in the SeaPlex, there's a jogging track and a well-sized fitness centre where you can use a range of equipment or other training.
There is also a beautiful spa onboard where you can be pampered with a range of treatments.
Spectrum of the Seas certainly leaves little to be desired in the way of things to do. The ship boasts popular Royal Caribbean features like the Flowrider - a surf simulator machine, SkyPad - a virtual reality trampoline park, and RipCord iFly - a breathtaking sky diving simulator. There's also SeaPlex, which is home to bumper cars, roller skating and sports facilities.
Other options include;
  • Rock-climbing wall
  • Swimming pools (1 outside and 2 inside)
  • North Star Observation Lift
  • Waterpark
  • Mini Golf

Adults looking to escape the madness for a time can head to the Adult Only Lounge Area for a little tranquillity, and likewise, teens looking to escape their parents can go along to the Teen Lounge to meet other cruisers their own age!
