Excursion in Costa Mayo in Mexico disappointing and overpriced. Other tours satisfactory. Excellent ship and crew, cabin bathroom very spacious with plenty of storage and large shower cubicle.
We booked an extra night in Miami, so arrived Saturday afternoon, all transfers were included, our driver waiting for us was great, the car was immaculate, stacked with cold drinks, fresh fruit and sweets. He gave us a tour of Miami on the way to our south beach hotel and a few words of caution about where not to go after dark. Hotel was just one block from the beach, in the middle of the art deco area. Just be aware that south beach hotels add a resort fee of $24 per night to your bill, this includes use of sun lounges with parasols provided on the beach, wether you use them or not. Getting around is easy on the hop on hop off bus, we included the tour round where the rich and famous have homes. Embarkation was busy but well organised, from hotel pickup to being on board in about 90 minutes. Celebrity Equinox balcony cabins are roomy, spotlessly clean with large veranda. Classic drinks package, $300 on board spend all included. Silhouette restaurant, Ocean view cafe, breakfast health bar, Bacio coffee bar all very very good. Sunset bar was great for an early evening drink. Martini bar martinis not included in package. Entertainment was ok, but nothing special. Excursions were varied with good choice. The Captain (Kate) was fantastic, very visible, approachable, witty and very attractive, she made a point of shaking everyone's hand as we disembarked. The weather was great but you had to be up early to get a sunbed. All staff were brilliant. Flights were direct with American Airlines from Heath Row. Excellent holiday. Planet cruise sales (Craig) was very informative, with direct flights including transfers was the main reason we went with them.
Well worth the long flights to arrive in heaven. Virgin atlantic airlines were a very good airline and celebrity cruises were second to none
Ship, crew, food and excursions were brilliant. Entertainment left alot to be desired highlighted by people leaving show part way through, Shean o'Shea best show of the cruise.
