We had an excellent time on board the Marella Voyager. The ship was lovely, and clean, the food was excellent and service in the Latitude excellent. Shout out to Manji, Dev and Dita cabin stewards who were very friendly and welcoming. They did an excellent job of tidying up our cabin despite my very untidy hubby! They also went out of their way to decorate the cabin for my husband’s birthday which was such a lovely gesture. We look forward to our next trip.
We had a great holiday, loved the ship and our cabin. The staff were all so friendly and polite, especially Jerlyn in the restaurant/kitchens who really went out of her way to make a special effort with our little boy who can be a little shy with strangers. He loved looking for Jerlyn in the restaurant and was always so happy to see her, which was lovely to see. It would be good to know that Jerlyn receives this feedback and that she is given something by way of recognition.
Our first cruise, couldn’t really fault a thing. We might be better informed about cabin choice another time. That said, we found everything clean and comfortable, food, drinks and service all great. We enjoyed the shows that we saw, including comedian. We arranged all our own shore trips which worked out well & we would do that again. We upgraded the drinks package which we felt was good value. It not only meant ale was a beer option but also that there were more choices of fizz, cocktails & wines, more selection of soft drinks (San Pelegríno’s tins were refreshing & welcome on warm days), but we also enjoyed the options available at the coffee shop. We had an outside cabin. Worked well for us - we were in port each day with just 1 day at sea so didn’t really feel the need for a balcony. There were plenty of places around the ship to sit in the day and evening. We always managed to eat in our restaurant of choice and didn’t feel the need to go to any of those with extra charges. The menus in the included restaurants changed each night. Staff work so hard and the public areas on the ship are constantly being cleaned. Rooms cleaned and tidied 2, sometimes 3 times a day. Staff generally delightful. Of particular mention, Kristen, Manoj, Sidik and Rita who cleaned the cabins and kept them fresh and were so welcoming. How Kristen learned and remembered so many names I don’t know, but she did! Also need to mention Lion and the team who worked in the Latitude 53 restaurant and took such great care of us. This won’t be our last cruise and we can’t see any reason not to return with Marella. It felt very good value for money and not at all stuffy. Thanks so much to all who made our holiday so memorable.
Excellent cruise and friendly, helpful staff.
