Saint Vincent and the Grenadines cruises
St Vincent has been relatively untouched by tourism and offers travelers something off the beaten track. The main city is Kingstown, where visitors can admire the 19th century architecture and sample some of the island’s most popular cuisine. Both Red Belly- a sweet bun filled with shaved coconut- and Bulijol- sautéed codfish with breadfruit and vegetables- are must-eats, although get down to the shops early because they are sure to sell out. While the city can be very busy, by travelling just outside of Kingstown, visitors will find some peaceful spots away from the crowds. The Botanical Gardens are the best place to enjoy the calm and beauty of some of the island’s indigenous plants, while a short hike to Dark View Falls will be rewarded with romantic views of cascading water and clear pools of water suitable for bathing.
