Antigua and Barbuda are two separate islands in the West Indies with the latter exactly to the north of its slightly larger neighbour. Being the larger of the two, Antigua has lots to offer visitors, from the original colonial architecture and landmarks dotted around the island, to the warm Caribbean atmosphere where you’ll be able to get a taste for locally made rum and delicious traditional specialities. Nelson’s Dockyard is a real hotspot for enjoying the hustle and bustle of the island with its feast of dining venues before heading to your chosen stretch of pristine beach. Meanwhile, Barbuda may be smaller, but its one settlement of Codrington boasts not only sandy beaches, but also Spanish Point, a beautiful base from which to explore the idyllic reefs and breathtaking marine life which calls this bit of paradise home.
