Not as well known as other cities in the country, La Coruna is an often overlooked gem on the Spanish coastline. Brimming with history and culture, you can visit the childhood home of Picasso before heading to the Museo de Bellas Artes to lose yourself amongst the Renaissance paintings and sculptures on show. When it's time for something to eat, the Old Town is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants waiting to entice you with their authentic tapas and coffee. Once you've finished seeing the sights, a stroll along the seafront promenade Paseo Marítimo is a must, followed by a dip in the sea.
