Tucked away in the Lesser Antilles, Dominica is easy to overlook as a travel destination, but this is by no means to say it lacks in sights to see. One of the best ways to explore the natural beauty is by trekking along the Waitukubuli National Trail or adventuring into the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, an awe inspiring UNESCO World Heritage SIte. Back to the coast, and snorkelling excursions will lead you underwater volcanic vents and colourful marine life. The colourfulness doesn’t stop here, as the vibrant capital of Rouseau is a maze of narrow streets, alive with the sounds of Reggae and the smells of the local cuisine. While you’re here, it would be a shame not to tour some of the town’s most famous landmarks, including the Dominica Museum, stopping off at the cobblestone Old Market plaza just in time to buy a little souvenir.
