Colombia cruises
When arriving by cruise ship at the old port of Cartagena on Columbia’s Caribbean coast, you are confronted on the one hand by the beautiful old walled colonial city with its brightly painted buildings and on the other by the modern development along a narrow spit of land known as the Boca Grande. Cartagena’s old town is one of Colombia’s most popular tourist destinations: don’t miss the Plaza de Bolivarin, the centre of the Old Town, or the fine 16th century cathedral of San Pedro Claver. Cartagena has a dark and fascinating history, which can be explored with a visit to the Museum of the Inquisition—luckily, all that remains from this period are the buildings, including the palace of the inquisition. For a great souvenir you could buy some authentic local Colombian coffee. Here more South America destinations.
