Croatia cruises
As George Bernard Shaw once said, “those who seek paradise on Earth should come to Dubrovnik” and it's easy to see why. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Adriatic and made a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1971, one of the best places from which to admire the stunning city is from the summit of Mount Srdj which can be reached by cable car and offers unrivalled views across the region and out to the islands lying just off the coast. Descending back into the town itself, there are almost too many beautiful buildings and historic monuments to visit, but a couple that stand out are the Rector's Palace and the Sponza Palace. If you'd rather simply take the weight off your feet and enjoy Dubrovnik from a more comfortable spot, Lapad beach and Lokrum Island are excellent options for soaking up the sun or cooling off in the ocean.
