After many years of service, Black Watch no longer sails with Fred. Olsen. However, you'll find the same sophisticated onboard experience when you cruise with one of their other ships, including Bolette and Borealis, two new vessels joining in 2020.
Black Watch is a small-sized ship, holding just 804 passengers, expanding your destination choices by taking you to small and unique ports in addition to popular stop overs. Cruising for family run cruise company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Black Watch offers a traditional and charming experience at sea.
Refurbished in November 2016 the ship has been refreshed and brought up to date with many new furnishings, features and highlights. Enhancements have been made to cabins, suites, dining venues and public spaces, creating a fresh and revitalising atmosphere throughout the ship.
Cabins have been revamped with new bedding and bed frames, brighter lights, a new mini bar (stocked on request) and hairdryer. All cabin bathrooms have been refreshed with more than half being completely refitted with new tiling, vanity unit and lockable storage shelves.
Dining options onboard are plentiful and range from relaxed buffet style to quick bites or superb a la carte options for a special evening.
There are numerous venues onboard offering entertainment throughout the evening, as well as providing a place to rest and relax with refreshments during the day. Black Watch boasts heated swimming pools, sun loungers and hot tubs for you to enjoy. You will also find onboard a library, a spa and salon, Scandinavian sauna and a Card Room especially for Bridge tournaments, card and board games.
