Ship statistics;

This ship has retired from service, but Fred. Olsen have plenty of other ships for guests to choose from, all of which boast an exceptional standard of service, cuisine and entertainment.

Boudicca carries just 880 passengers, making it just the right size to sail to some of the smaller ports and giving guests more room to enjoy the space onboard. The Boudicca offers a host of delicious restaurants offering formal and casual dining options, a spa and fitness centre, shopping opportunities and comfortable accommodation. In the evening, the ship plays host to an array of exciting entertainment, from live music through to theatrical performances.

Boudicca sails to a wide range of exciting destinations, explore the historic mansions and museums of France and Spain, cross the Arctic Circle and perhaps catch a glimpse of the magical Northern Lights, taste a traditional Tagine in Casablanca, Morocco. Once in port you can choose from a range of optional shore tours, such as a traditional Norwegian afternoon tea at Over-Eide Farm, Bergen – delicious!

The Boudicca offers guests the choice of various different types of suite and cabin accommodation. For single travellers, there is a choice of single inside cabins, single outside cabins and single balcony suites, all of which feature an en-suite bathroom and television.

For those travelling as a couple or with friends, choose from inside cabins, outside cabins, balcony cabins or a spacious suite. This accommodation includes an ensuite bathroom, a television and comes with the option of twin or double beds. In addition to this, a suite provides a separate living area, sleeping area and fridge – selected grades of suite also feature a balcony and mini bar.

The main dining venue onboard Boudicca is the Four Seasons Restaurant, which provides a formal setting for a wonderful breakfast, lunch or evening meal. The Tintagel Restaurant offers the same menu as the Four Seasons, but provides a more intimate and cosy setting in which to dine. The Heligan restaurant also offers the same menu as the above, however it is an even smaller and cosier space. All three of these restaurants require guests to dine at one of two sittings for evening meals and you are able to request which sitting you would prefer once onboard. Lunch and breakfast times are more relaxed and you can turn up anytime between 7.15am-10am and 12pm-2pm.

For a more casual dining experience, head to the beautiful Oriental themed Secret Garden Café. This self-service restaurant does not require set dining times so you can eat whenever you desire. The café also offers buffet style breakfasts in the morning. The Marquee bar also offers a more casual and al fresco dining option, if the weather allows. If you are still hungry later on at night, or you fancy a midnight snack, then the Secret Garden Café puts on a buffet from 11pm until 12am.

Have some quiet time and bury yourself in a good book at the onboard Library, which houses a wide collection of fiction, non-fiction, history books, autobiographies and more. Situated next to the library you will find the Library Lounge, where you can enjoy a coffee and spend a quiet moment during your day.

If you enjoy Bridge, card games and board games, then the Card Room provides a selection of gaming tables for you to play at. There is also a gaming area, where in the evening you’ll find Black Jack Tables and Roulette Wheels. You can also attend informative sessions, which teach you the skills needed in order to win at these games. For crafty guests, the Arts and Crafts Room puts on various activities and also plays host to the Arts and Crafts themed Vista cruises.

Take a relaxing stroll or even a jog around the Promenade and marvel at the glorious views. The deck runs around the whole ship, giving you plenty of space to get outside and enjoy the fresh sea air. If you feel like indulging in a bit of shopping, then you’ll find a jewellery shop onboard as well as the Boutique and the Port Shop. Here you can buy snacks, souvenirs, clothing, perfumes, toiletries, holiday essentials and more. You’ll also find the Photo Gallery, where you can have your holiday snaps printed or uploaded onto at CD or USB memory stick.

The Lido Deck is a great place to enjoy an afternoon tea or a refreshing beverage during the day, whilst enjoying the sunshine. Another great place for a delicious treat is the Coffee Bar, where you can buy scrumptious chocolates to compliment your beverage.

In the evening, visit the Secret Garden Café Lounge for a delightful post-dinner drink. The Lido Lounge is also a great place to have a refreshing drink, as is The Observatory, which features a live pianist to set the tone. Relax in the Iceni Room and make use of the hot beverage facilities, before heading on through to the Neptune Lounge to enjoy one of the fabulous live shows on offer.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to relax and unwind, why not head to the Atlantis Spa & Salon for a relaxing facial or a therapeutic massage. You’ll also find a beauty studio where you can receive hair care treatments, hair styling, manicures and pedicures to keep you feeling great. Top off your session with a rejuvenating dip in the Sauna and Steam Room or head to the Fitness Centre for a spot of exercise. The Fitness Centre provides cardio and weight equipment as well as a studio, which holds classes such as yoga, pilates and aerobics.

If you wish to soak up some sun, the Sun Deck is the perfect spot for lounging. You’ll also find two heated swimming pools onboard as well as a Swimex machine, which allows you to swim against the current for a good workout. Afterwards, relax in one of the two heated, bubbling Jacuzzis.
